Nursery & Childcare: Open from 9:30 AM – end of worship

We have a wonderful childcare staff person who is in the nursery each Sunday, assisted by an adult volunteer member of the congregation. Our nursery is open to infants, toddlers and preschool age children.

God Time (Sunday School)

We have God Time groups offered for children and youth from 3 years old through high school. The curriculum we follow is called “Whole People of God” and follows the lectionary; this means that, on most Sundays, the children and youth are focusing on the same Bible passages and teachings as the adults in worship in the sanctuary.

Our God Time Guides are volunteer adult members of the congregation. We also have a staff person who acts as both our adult “floater” as well as our administrative assistant for our children’s ministries.

All children and youth participating in God Time groups begin worship with the adults in our sanctuary at 10 AM (9:30 in the summer). After a special “Time with the Children,” children and youth leave for God Time. On the first Sunday of the month, children, youth and God Time Guides are offered the elements of Holy Communion before leaving worship in the sanctuary.

Nursery Care and God Time are offered throughout the school year and summer months.

Youth Groups

There are youth group activities offered for youth in grades 6-12. We typically meet once a month with varied programs including bowling, helping with our church’s Rummage Sale and enjoying a movie together.

The activities are led by the pastor and adult volunteers.

Confirmation Classes

Our pastor offers Confirmation classes for youth in grades 7-12 in the spring. The classes are held at the time that best suits the parents, youth and pastor.

Special Activities for Children

Throughout the year, we offer special programs for children including an Advent Workshop, “Teddy Bears and Friends”, and participation in our church’s Christmas Pageant. In June, we hold a special Children’s Sunday, celebrating the children’s ministries throughout the past school year.
